Project Overview

Scenario Context Illustrative assumption — Power electronics manufacturer
Product Illustrative assumption — Folded fin aluminum heat sinks
Material Illustrative assumption — Aluminum fins + sheet metal base
Process Illustrative assumption — Fin folding, brazing, black anodize
Performance Illustrative assumption — High fin density, low thermal resistance
Example Order Size Illustrative assumption — 30,000 units / 10-week lead time

This representative scenario assumes a power-electronics OEM would request folded-fin heat sinks for a constrained footprint. Heat load, airflow, interface resistance, mass, finish, quantity and schedule would be buyer-defined inputs; no extrusion comparison or thermal result is claimed.

The scenario assumes an RFQ for folded-fin aluminum heat sinks with buyer-defined footprint, heat load, airflow, interface, finish and production-volume inputs. An example quantity of 30,000 units is a planning assumption only; thermal performance, braze quality, finish and repeatability would require project-specific validation.

The following sections describe an illustrative thermal-component manufacturing boundary; no achieved thermal or schedule result is claimed.

Scenario Assumptions

The representative RFQ assumes 30,000 folded-fin heat sinks and a ten-week planning window. The OEM would supply heat load, footprint, airflow, mounting, interface material, mass, finish and acceptance criteria.

Proposed Manufacturing Workflow

The illustrative review could compare folded-fin, extruded or machined constructions. Fin height, thickness, spacing, base flatness and joining route would be selected only after buyer thermal analysis and manufacturability review.

Brazing and black anodizing could be quoted as process inputs. They do not establish thermal resistance, emissivity benefit, bond consistency or unit-to-unit performance.

Example Verification Boundary

  • DRAmetal could inspect released geometry, finish and agreed joining records.
  • The OEM would retain thermal modeling, airflow, interface pressure, component temperature and complete-system validation.
  • Quantity, tooling and schedule would require capacity review.

Illustrative Targets

No achieved thermal result, extrusion comparison, low-resistance bond value, yield or delivered quantity is claimed.

Request a Project-Specific Review

DRAmetal can review released drawings and RFQ requirements for Heat Sink, including material, finish, target quantity, critical dimensions, inspection records and buyer-defined compliance requirements. Send the RFQ package for a project-specific feasibility review and written quotation; the initial response target is within 24 working hours.

Any production quantity, schedule, tolerance, performance target or certification requirement remains subject to drawing review, agreed acceptance criteria and written confirmation. See the related product capability for scope information.
