Formed Boxes and Containers
Open boxes, covered boxes and small containers are built around bend relief, corner seams, hardware and finish requirements.
Formed sheet metal boxes, shallow trays, electronics trays, drip pans and hardware-ready containers for OEM equipment programs. We control bend relief, corner seams, drainage, hardware, finish and nested packout.
Box and tray programs often look simple on the drawing but fail in corners, lid clearance, hardware fit or packaging. We manage these details from flat pattern review through nested shipment.
Open boxes, covered boxes and small containers are built around bend relief, corner seams, hardware and finish requirements.
Tray geometry is reviewed around drainage, flatness, corner sealing, nesting, handling and cleaning requirements.
PEM nuts, standoffs, rivnuts, hinges, covers, labels and brackets can be integrated before packout.
Galvanized, stainless, aluminum and powder coated boxes or trays are packed to protect lips, corners and cosmetic faces.
We fabricate the blanks, bends, corner welds, hardware, finish and packout. Your team defines the final equipment assembly, cleaning requirements and any certification path.
We support box and tray programs where bend geometry, hardware location, finish and packout all affect final assembly.
Trays Nested trays, shallow pans and handling trays with turned-up lips, drain holes, perforations and welded corners.
Boxes Open or covered boxes with flanges, removable lids, PEM hardware, cutouts and mounting tabs.
Electronics Equipment trays, chassis trays and slide-in trays with standoffs, slots, cable pass-throughs and guide rails.
Pans Welded drip pans and containment trays with drain ports, sealed corners and corrosion-resistant materials.
| Materials | Cold-rolled steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, aluminum, pre-plated steel and perforated sheet |
|---|---|
| Processes | Laser cutting, punching, press brake forming, corner welding, deburring, PEM insertion, riveting and finishing |
| Part features | Open boxes, lids, flanges, drain holes, perforations, slots, standoffs, handles, hinges, rails and sealed corners |

| Quality controls | First article inspection, hole fit checks, lid fit checks, corner inspection, edge checks and SKU packout control |
Check bend relief, corner seams, lid clearance, hole-to-bend spacing, nesting and finish risk.
Laser cut or punch blanks, then form lips, flanges, tabs, channels and stiffening beads.
Weld corners, install PEM hardware, add rivnuts, hinges, handles or brackets as required.
Remove sharp edges, prepare stainless or galvanized surfaces and mask critical areas before finish.
Powder coat, passivate, plate or ship raw, then inspect fit, flatness, hole position and cosmetics.
Pack boxes and trays by SKU, revision and finish with edge protection and nesting limits.
Boxes and trays are handled, nested, opened, cleaned and assembled. Small geometry decisions can create large production issues.
Small boxes and trays often fail at corners when bend relief, weld access or drain paths are treated as afterthoughts.
Trays must stay flat enough for assembly while still nesting or stacking safely for shipment and line-side storage.
PEM hardware, standoffs, lids and rails need stable hole position after forming, coating and handling.
Deburring and edge control matter on handled trays, electronics boxes and containment parts.

Liquid collected in corners, and inaccessible weld crevices made the original box difficult to clean to the customer's requirements.
Results apply to the project configuration described on the linked page.
Read the Customer Project →Include these requirements with the controlled drawing, intended use and order quantity so the proposed process, inspection and packout can be compared on the same basis.
Mark open corners, welded seams, sealant locations and drain ports on the drawing. For a containment requirement, define the test medium, fill level, hold time, inspection stage and leakage acceptance criterion. Agree the test scope before quotation; a welded corner alone does not establish a liquid-tight result.
Include the mating lid drawing, hardware part numbers, thread sizes and assembly datums. Define clearances in the finished condition and identify gasket seats or latch engagement where needed. State whether lids must be interchangeable or supplied as matched sets, and agree the hardware-to-finish sequence.
Specify the substrate grade, thickness and finish system separately, along with cleaning or corrosion exposure. Mark cosmetic faces, masked threads, mating fits and any electrical bonding areas. Confirm treatment of cut edges and corner welds, plus an appearance sample or surface acceptance criteria suited to the chosen material.
State whether parts may nest, the allowed stack quantity, separation method and protected contact faces. Review lid lips, coating rub points and protruding hardware in the packed arrangement. Agree SKU/revision labels, handling limits and how parts will be separated without damage at unpacking.
Yes. Many OEM programs include related trays, open boxes, lidded boxes and slide-in assemblies. We manage them by SKU, revision, finish and packout.
Yes. Stainless steel, galvanized steel, aluminum and powder coated carbon steel are common choices depending on corrosion, cleaning and cost requirements.
Yes. We can install PEM nuts, standoffs, rivnuts, hinges, handles, covers, brackets and rails so parts arrive assembly-ready.
Send your drawing, material, finish, hardware, annual quantity and packaging requirements. Our engineering team will review the flat pattern and quote the right manufacturing path.
