01 / What We Fabricate

Mounting Plates Built Around Mating Equipment

Mounting plates locate motors, rails, brackets, electronics and machine bases. We manufacture them around the final interface: hole pattern, fastener seating, coating buildup, flatness and packout.

Mounting Hole Control

Slots, countersinks, counterbores, tapped holes and PEM hardware are reviewed around mating equipment and inspection access.

Flatness and Edge Quality

Base plates and adapter plates are controlled for burrs, warp, cosmetic faces and protected shipping surfaces.

Hardware-Ready Assembly

PEM nuts, studs, standoffs, rivnuts and threaded inserts can be installed before finish and final packout.

Finish and Packout Discipline

Powder coat, plating, anodizing, passivation and protective film are planned around hole fit and cosmetic requirements.

Our scope: mounting plates and hardware-ready interfaces

We fabricate the plate geometry, countersinks, threads, PEM hardware, finish and packout. Your team defines the mating equipment, load requirements and any certification path.

02 / Mounting Plate Types

Plate Families for OEM Assembly Lines

We support mounting plate programs where hole fit, countersink quality, finish thickness and hardware installation all affect assembly speed.

04 / Manufacturing Process

From Interface Review to Assembly-Ready Plates

01

Drawing and Interface Review

Review mating holes, slot direction, countersink side, flatness zones, finish faces and packaging risk.

02

Cutting and Hole Creation

Laser cut or punch blanks, then add slots, bores, countersinks, counterbores and tapped holes as required.

03

Forming and Hardware

Form small flanges or tabs, install PEM hardware, rivnuts, studs or standoffs, and check thread fit.

04

Deburring and Surface Prep

Control edges, burr direction, cosmetic faces and masking before plating, powder coating or anodizing.

05

Finish and Inspection

Inspect hole fit, flatness, countersink quality, finish thickness and hardware retention after finishing.

06

Protected Packout

Pack plates by SKU, revision, finish and mating kit with separators to protect coated faces.

05 / Why It Matters

What Makes a Mounting Plate Program Reliable

A mounting plate is often the interface between several systems. Small hole, edge or finish issues can create large assembly delays.

Hole Pattern Accuracy

Mounting plates often decide whether motors, rails, brackets and electronics line up without field adjustment.

Flatness After Finish

Thermal cutting, forming and coating can affect flatness, so high-risk plates need inspection after the full process.

Countersink and Thread Fit

Fastener seating, thread depth and hardware retention have to remain stable after plating or coating buildup.

Line-Side Packaging

Similar plates need clean SKU separation and protected surfaces so assembly teams do not sort or rework parts.

The Customer Challenge

Accumulated hole errors misaligned components, while uneven plates tilted the installed equipment.

07 / Why Choose Us

Why OEMs Trust DRAmetal for Mounting Plates

01

Interface-aware DFM

We review mounting plates around the equipment they locate, not just the flat blank geometry.

02

Hardware integration

PEM hardware, rivnuts, threaded studs and standoffs are installed and checked before shipment.

03

Finish-aware hole control

Countersinks, threads and mating holes are planned around plating, anodizing or powder coating buildup.

04

SKU and revision control

Families of similar plates ship with clear revision, finish and packout separation.

09 / FAQ

Custom Sheet Metal Mounting Plates FAQ

Can you manufacture mounting plates with countersinks and threaded holes?

Yes. We can produce laser-cut or punched mounting plates with countersinks, counterbores, tapped holes, PEM hardware, rivnuts and threaded studs.

Which materials are common for custom mounting plates?

Aluminum, carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel and powder coated steel are common. Material choice depends on strength, corrosion, weight and finish requirements.

Can you control hole fit after coating?

Yes. We review coating buildup before release and inspect critical holes, countersinks and threads after finishing when the drawing requires it.
