01 / What We Fabricate

The Barrier That Keeps People Safe

As factories automate, robots and machines need physical barriers that keep people out of the hazard zone. We fabricate the welded steel mesh panels, posts and gates to the integrator's released layout. The machine builder owns the risk assessment and final safety validation.

Welded Mesh Panels

Heavy welded wire mesh (e.g. 10 gauge) in steel angle frames — strong, see-through panels that contain the hazard while keeping the cell visible for monitoring.

Posts & Base Plates

Square tubular steel posts with welded base plates for floor anchoring — the structural backbone that holds the panels rigid and stable.

Gates & Access Doors

Hinged, sliding, and double gates with provisions for your safety interlock switches and locks — controlled access into the guarded cell for operators and maintenance.

Solid & Polycarbonate Panels

Solid sheet-metal panels for weld-spark and debris zones, plus provisions for polycarbonate where UV-flash or impact protection is needed alongside mesh.

Our scope: the steel guard structure

We fabricate the guard structure — welded mesh panels, posts, base plates, gates, solid and polycarbonate panel frames, and hardware — laser-cut, welded, and powder-coated to OSHA/ANSI/EN geometry. Bought-out components such as safety interlock switches, light curtains, emergency stops, safety PLCs and controls, and all electrical wiring are integrated by you, your integrator, or your safety supplier. We build the structure with gate provisions sized to your interlocks.

02 / Guarding Types

  • Use Tool crib, storage
  • Benefit Secure separation
  • Door Lockable
03 / Technical Capabilities

Strong, Drawing-Controlled, and Modular

Machine guarding has to stop a person reaching the hazard, take impact, and meet safety standards. Here's what we fabricate to.

Mesh Welded wire mesh (e.g. 10 ga, 1.25" × 2.5" grid); 8 ga heavy-duty; expanded metal option
Panel Frame Steel angle frame (e.g. 1.25" × 1.25" × 1/8"); solid sheet and polycarbonate options
Posts Square tube (e.g. 2" × 2" × 1/8") with welded base plates; M10 expansion-bolt anchoring
Heights Defined by the buyer's risk assessment, layout and released drawing
Floor Gap Bottom gap designed to ≤4" (OSHA); adjustable posts for uneven floors
Gates Hinged, sliding, double; provisions for interlock switches and LOTO locks
Standards Built to OSHA 1910 Subpart O, ANSI B11, RIA/ANSI R15.06, EN ISO, CSA geometry
Angles Corners from ~10° to 270°; modular sections for any configuration
Finishing Powder coat (standard black panels / yellow posts), or galvanized; custom colors

We fabricate the guard structure to your layout and standard. Safety interlock switches, light curtains, e-stops, safety PLCs, and wiring are integrated by you, your integrator, or your safety supplier.

04 / Manufacturing Process

From Steel to Guard System

Machine guarding has to be strong and modular to install. Our process delivers the mechanical guard parts to your layout; the integrator owns safety validation.

01

DFM & Layout

Review your cell layout, hazard, and standard — confirm mesh and frame spec, post layout, height to reach-distance rules, and gate and cutout requirements.

02

Cutting

Laser cutting of frames, posts, base plates, panels, and gate components, plus mesh cut to size — accurate parts to your layout.

03

Mesh Welding

Welding heavy wire mesh into angle frames for rigid, strong panels, and forming post and base-plate assemblies.

04

Welding & Assembly

Welding posts to base plates, building gates with hinge and interlock provisions, and fitting hardware — a complete, modular guard kit.

05

Finishing

Powder coat (black panels, yellow posts, or your colors) or galvanizing — durable, maintenance-free finish for the plant floor.

06

Inspection

Dimensional inspection to your layout and the reach/gap geometry, weld and finish quality, and fit verification before delivery.

05 / Why It Matters

What Makes Machine Guarding Right

Machine guarding is a regulated safety system. Four things separate a guard that protects and passes audit from one that fails inspection — or worse.

Reach-Distance Geometry

A guard must be tall enough and positioned so a worker can't reach over or through to the hazard. Correct height and mesh-opening geometry to the standard is what passes an audit.

Impact Strength

A guard has to withstand incidental contact and the kinetic energy of a busy plant. Heavy welded mesh and tubular posts give the strength that flimsy fencing can't.

Interlock-Ready Access

Access gates must support safety interlocks so the machine stops when a door opens. Gates built with the right provisions make the safety system work as designed.

Modular Flexibility

Plant layouts change. A modular, reconfigurable system — field-trimmable, with any-angle corners — adapts to the floor and to future changes without a full tear-out.

09 / FAQ

Machine Guarding FAQ

Do you supply the safety interlocks, or just the guard structure?

We fabricate the steel guard structure — welded mesh panels, posts, base plates, gates, and solid/ polycarbonate panel frames. The safety interlock switches, light curtains, emergency stops, safety PLCs, and wiring are integrated by you, your integrator, or your safety supplier. We build the gates and structure with provisions sized to your interlocks.

What standards do you build to?

We fabricate to the geometry of OSHA 1910 Subpart O, ANSI B11, RIA/ANSI R15.06 (robotics), EN ISO, and CSA — including reach-distance heights, mesh-opening sizes, and the ≤4" floor gap. You confirm the required standard for your application and we build the structure to it.

How tall should the guarding be?

Guard height depends on the hazard, reach distance, risk assessment and applicable safety standard. The buyer or safety integrator owns the requirement and final validation.

Can you handle weld spark and UV-flash zones?

Yes — for welding cells we integrate solid sheet-metal panels in the lower sections to contain sparks and provisions for polycarbonate to block UV flash, while keeping mesh above for visibility and airflow.

Is the system modular and reconfigurable?

Yes — modular panels and posts let you build any size and configuration, with corners from about 10° to 270°. Panels can be trimmed on-site for obstructions, and the system can be relocated and reconfigured without a full tear-down as your layout changes.

What's your minimum order quantity?

We support everything from a single cell enclosure to plant-wide rollouts. Send us your layout and requirements and we'll confirm MOQ and pricing for your project.
