Weather-Exposed Cabinet Bodies
Welded and formed housings with roof, plinth, drain, door and cable-entry geometry prepared for the specified ingress strategy.
DRAmetal fabricates build-to-print metal cabinets for railway signaling, telecom, condition monitoring and wayside power equipment. Send the released mechanical design, site inputs, hardware schedule, CTQs and validation responsibilities for RFQ review; the rail OEM retains system engineering, qualification and final approval.
Trackside cabinets protect sensitive signaling, communications and monitoring hardware in locations exposed to weather, dust, temperature cycling, vibration and unauthorized access. DRAmetal manufactures the sheet metal cabinet and specified mechanical subassemblies to customer drawings and validation plans.
Welded and formed housings with roof, plinth, drain, door and cable-entry geometry prepared for the specified ingress strategy.
Reinforced doors, multi-point latch provisions, removable panels and equipment-specific service clearances.
19-inch rails, backplates, DIN-rail supports, shelves and cable-management brackets located from controlled datums.
Grounding studs, conductive interfaces, fan or heat-exchanger cutouts and separated airflow paths built to the released design.
The rail-system OEM owns signaling or power design, electrical integration, thermal sizing, EMC, fire behavior, ingress rating, security requirements and final railway approval. DRAmetal manufactures and documents the released mechanical enclosure design.
Each enclosure is configured around equipment load, installation location, maintenance access and the OEM's environmental validation plan.
Signaling Floor-mounted cabinets for relays, controllers and signaling interfaces with secure doors and organized field-cable entry.
Telecom Outdoor housings for fiber, network and communications equipment with rack rails, cable routing and thermal provisions.
Monitoring Compact cabinets for axle, condition, CCTV and platform monitoring systems with pole, wall or pedestal mounting.
Power Fabricated cabinet structures for rail power distribution and auxiliary systems with reinforced mounting and segregated compartments.

Confirm trackside location, mounting, equipment load, service access, cable zones, thermal strategy and customer validation requirements.
Review weld seams, drainage, gasket compression, latch loads and assembly sequence before validating a production-intent cabinet.
Produce cabinet panels, doors, plinths and brackets from functional datums with coating and assembly allowances included.
Fixture cabinet bodies and reinforced doors to manage distortion around openings, seals, rack rails and mounting faces.
Apply the approved corrosion system, install hardware and verify doors, panels, bonding points and equipment interfaces.
Protect finished surfaces and release cabinets by project, cabinet type, serial or lot and drawing revision.
Outdoor rail cabinets must retain access, sealing and structural integrity after fabrication, coating, transport and repeated maintenance cycles.
Weld distortion and coating buildup can change compression, latch force and water-shedding behavior.
Cut edges, welds, dissimilar metals and field mounting points require a coordinated protection strategy.
Hinges, latches, rails and fasteners must be selected and validated by the OEM for the installed rail environment.
Door swing, removable panels, cable routing and replaceable thermal hardware affect long-term maintenance.

Vibration loosened the door, disrupted the seal and shifted mounting references.
Results apply to the project configuration described on the linked page.
Read the Customer Project →We review the enclosure body, doors, plinth, internal supports and cable-entry system as one assembly.
Fixtures and weld sequence are planned around door apertures, rack datums and mounting interfaces.
Surface preparation, masking, grounding points and hardware interfaces are controlled through finishing.
Cabinet variants, inspection records and packout remain tied to released project revisions.
Yes. We fabricate released mechanical designs for signaling, telecom, monitoring and wayside equipment cabinets, including doors, plinths, backplates, rails, brackets and specified hardware. The rail OEM retains system engineering and approval responsibility.
Yes. Material and finish can include galvanized or carbon steel with project-defined coating, or 304/316 stainless steel. The complete corrosion system and acceptance criteria should be stated on the controlled specification.
We can support production-intent samples and agreed mechanical checks, but system-level vibration, EMC, ingress and railway qualification must be defined and approved by the customer or accredited test provider on the complete configured cabinet.
Yes. Cabinets, internal kits and hardware can be labeled and packed by project, location, cabinet type, revision, serial or agreed installation sequence.
Send released 2D drawings and 3D models, material and thickness, finish specification, equipment loads, installation environment, door and cable-entry interfaces, CTQs, inspection records, quantity or annual forecast, packaging, destination and required delivery date. Rating and railway-approval responsibilities should also be identified.
Prototype and repeat-production quantities are reviewed against tooling, purchased hardware, inspection and packout. Price breaks, Incoterm, packaging method and committed delivery date are stated in the quotation after the released scope is complete.
Send the cabinet assembly, released drawings, material and finish, equipment load, installation environment, CTQs, inspection records, forecast quantity, packaging, destination and required delivery date for DFM and quotation review.
