Joint and Actuator Plates
Low-profile plates for motor, gearbox and actuator zones where mass, fastener access and hose motion are constrained.
Compact build-to-print cold plates for robot joints, servo drives, controllers and mobile platforms. We coordinate machined channels, sealed construction, mounting faces, ports and inspection around the OEM's released mass and envelope requirements.
A robot-arm cooling plate is more than a general liquid cold plate in a smaller outline. Its mass, mounting face, port direction, hose sweep and service access must fit a moving joint or compact controller without changing the OEM's released interface.
Low-profile plates for motor, gearbox and actuator zones where mass, fastener access and hose motion are constrained.
Flat, sealed plates for drives, power electronics and control enclosures with defined device contact areas.
Cold plates for batteries, inverters and compute modules inside AMRs, AGVs and compact autonomous platforms.
Machined-channel plates, covers, ports and mounting features manufactured to a released thermal and hydraulic design.
The robot OEM or thermal-system designer owns heat load, fluid selection, flow and pressure targets, hose design, condensation control, joint dynamics and full-system validation. DRAmetal manufactures and inspects the released cooling plate to the agreed material, interface, joining and test requirements.
The construction, port layout and inspection route are matched to the robot module, sealing method and released test requirements.
Robot Joints Compact plates with controlled mounting faces, edge ports and hose-clearance zones for moving robot joints and actuator housings.
Controllers Sealed aluminum plates for servo drives, power modules and robot controllers with drawing-defined contact and mounting areas.
Mobile Robots Build-to-print plates for battery, inverter and compute bays where packaging, service access and routing must remain coordinated.
Custom Channels CNC-machined flow paths, sealed covers and drawing-defined ports produced from the OEM's validated channel and interface design.

|---|---|
| Construction | Machined channels, sealed covers, brazed or welded construction, threaded ports and integrated mounting features as specified |
| Functional interfaces | Robot joint or controller mounting faces, device contact zones, port clocking, hose keep-outs and service access |

Confirm the released envelope, mass target, mounting faces, ports, hose zones, fluid compatibility and test plan.
Map device contact areas, joint or controller datums, fastener access, channel walls and sealing lands.
Define machining, deburring, cleaning, joining, finishing and inspection sequence for the specified construction.
Machine channels and interfaces, install ports and join the cover while protecting critical faces and internal cleanliness.
Inspect released CTQs and complete the specified pressure or leak test with traceable acceptance records.
Cap ports, protect contact faces and keep plate identity, drawings and test records tied to the correct robot revision.
A compact plate can pass a basic leak check yet still be unsuitable for a moving robot module. The manufacturing plan must preserve the complete mechanical interface defined by the system designer.
Extra material, protruding fittings or a shifted outline can affect packaging and moving-axis inertia.
Port position and clocking must respect released bend radius, joint travel and service-removal zones.
Cover joining and finish can move a device or joint mounting surface unless flatness is checked at the final state.
Internal debris, damaged threads or an unverified joint can compromise the wider liquid loop after assembly.

Uneven coolant flow created local temperature differences while the motor overheated under sustained load.
Results apply to the project configuration described on the linked page.
Read the Customer Project →Channel machining, cover joining, ports, inserts, finishing and inspection are coordinated in one released route.
The control plan follows moving-envelope, mounting-face and hose-routing features instead of treating the plate as a generic heat sink.
Part identity can be connected to drawing-defined dimensional, pressure and leak evidence for first article and repeat supply.
Similar joint, controller and platform plates remain separated by current model, revision, port layout and packout.
This scope focuses on robot-specific compact mass and envelope, joint or controller mounting faces, port direction, hose-motion keep-outs, service access and platform variants. The general cold-plate page covers broader industrial and electronics applications.
We support build-to-print manufacturability review, but the robot OEM or thermal-system designer must release and validate heat load, channel performance, fluid, flow, pressure, hose design, condensation controls and system acceptance criteria.
Released designs may use machined-channel plates with sealed covers, brazed or welded construction, threaded or welded ports, inserts and drawing-defined finishes. Material and joining compatibility are reviewed for each RFQ.
The route can include datum-based machining and inspection, protected contact faces, controlled cover joining, final flatness checks, internal cleaning and drawing-specified pressure or leak testing.
Send 3D models, 2D drawings, material, channel and cover definition, joint or controller interfaces, mass and envelope limits, port and hose zones, fluid compatibility, finish, CTQs, test plan, revisions and quantities.
