03 / Manufacturing Process

Integrated Production Workflow

Eight precision steps from raw aluminum extrusion and steel coil to packaged, project-ready mounting system.

01

Structural Engineering

Site-specific structural analysis — wind, snow, seismic per ASCE 7 / EN 1991 / AS/NZS 1170. FEA modeling for load paths. Country-specific code compliance.

02

Extrusion & Material

Qualified aluminum extrusion partners (6005-T5, 6063-T6) and galvanized steel suppliers with full EN 10204 3.1 mill certs and XRF verification.

03

Cutting & Punching

Aluminum extrusion sawing to precise lengths. CNC punching for mounting holes, slots, and module attachment points to drawing-defined length tolerances.

04

Forming & Stamping

Press brake forming for steel components (L-feet, end caps). Stamping for high-volume small parts (mid clamps, end clamps). Punching for grounding teeth.

05

Welding

Robotic MIG for structural welds on tracker components. TIG for stainless and cosmetic welds. Limited use — most mounting hardware is bolted, not welded.

06

Surface Treatment

Type II anodize for aluminum (clear or color); hot-dip galvanize (Z275-Z600) for steel components. Corrosion requirements and any ASTM B117 evidence are defined by the released project specification.

07

Pre-Assembly & Kitting

Components pre-assembled where possible to reduce on-site labor. Project-specific kitting per row / per array, with installation instructions.

08

Packaging & Logistics

Palletization and container utilization are planned from the released part set, quantity and logistics constraints. No fixed MW-per-container claim applies.

Solar mounting production line — integrated extrusion processing, stamping, forming, anodizing, and kitting. Production scope, inspection and packout are committed only after project drawings and schedule review.
05 / Quality & Compliance

Project-Specific Quality Planning

A mounting failure in a utility-scale array means modules on the ground, lost generation revenue, and warranty claims. Service-life and structural performance are design-authority responsibilities; our scope follows the released drawing and agreed inspection plan.

UL 2703

UL certification documentation is available on request for applicable products and components. Confirm the model and listing scope against your UL 2703 requirements. The OEM or Listing holder owns module compatibility, bonding, fire classification, testing and labeling.

IEC 61215

Design qualification and type approval for crystalline silicon PV modules. Mounting must support module certification.

ASCE 7 / EN 1991

Structural design codes for wind, snow, seismic loads. Country-specific compliance for permit approval.

ASTM B117

Salt-spray testing is a project-defined finish check; it does not by itself establish a service-life warranty for the installed system.

Project-Defined Inspection and Test Scope

07 / Why Choose Us

Why Solar EPCs & Developers Choose DRAmetal

01

Project-based production planning

Capacity is committed only after member variants, tooling, finish, inspection, packout and delivery schedule have been reviewed and quoted.

02

Site-specific engineering

Structural analysis to ASCE 7, EN 1991, AS/NZS 1170, and country-specific codes. Cyclone, hurricane and high-snow rated designs as standard capability.

03

Corrosion scope by design

Material pairings, coatings and isolation details follow the customer-released design and project-specific corrosion requirements.

04

Pre-assembled kitting

Project-specific kit assembly, labels and packing sequence can be quoted to support the customer's installation plan.

05

Sequenced delivery logistics

Container shipments scheduled to installation phases. Reduces on-site inventory, theft risk, and storage requirements at remote project sites.

06

Code boundary defined by project

The customer's licensed engineer identifies the applicable code, load cases and permit requirements; DRAmetal manufactures the released metal scope.

09 / FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the minimum order quantity for solar mounting?
No fixed system-size minimum is published. MOQ, tooling, packaging and schedule depend on the released component drawings, part mix, material, finish and forecast and are confirmed by quotation.
Do you provide structural engineering / stamped drawings?
DRAmetal does not provide stamped structural drawings or act as the engineer of record. The customer or its licensed project engineer must release the load cases, member sizes, connections and permit package. We manufacture the approved metal scope.
Are your products UL 2703 certified?
UL certification documentation is available on request for applicable products and components. Confirm the mounting component model and listing scope against your UL 2703 requirements. We can manufacture parts from a customer-released design, but the OEM or Listing holder owns module compatibility, testing, certification, file maintenance and labeling.
Can you handle cyclone / hurricane-rated projects?
We can manufacture a customer-released design for cyclone or hurricane applications. The customer's licensed engineer owns the load cases, member sizes, connections, code compliance and permit approval.
How do you prevent galvanic corrosion in mixed-material designs?
Three layers: (1) compatible material pairings (galvanized steel + aluminum + stainless fasteners is an engineered combination); (2) isolation washers/pads at critical interfaces in coastal zones; (3) drawing-defined coating and isolation requirements. Any salt-spray test method, duration and acceptance criteria must be specified by the customer.
How long does production take for a utility-scale order?
Production and delivery schedules are confirmed in the quotation after project loads, member variants, finish, inspection and packout are reviewed.
