Equipment Route by RFQ

Welding RFQ Review Points

Joint design, process source, fixture strategy, qualification, acceptance criteria and records must be agreed before production.

Weld Integrity & Inspection

Penetration and NDT requirements come from the released drawing. Method, qualified inspection source and evidence are confirmed and priced in the RFQ.

Distortion-Control Plan

Fixture, weld sequence, heat input and dimensional acceptance are project-specific. No flatness or distortion result is promised by this overview.

Automated & Manual Route Review

The quotation identifies whether an automated, manual or mixed route is proposed, together with fixture, qualification and inspection requirements.

Cosmetic & Hygienic Finishes

Electropolishing and passivation can be considered through a quoted process source. Food, medical or pharmaceutical suitability remains buyer-owned.

Welding Routes Considered by RFQ

Candidate processes are reviewed against material, joint, access, quantity, qualification and inspection inputs. The selected source and measurable scope appear in the quotation.

Precision TIG Welding
Finish Criteria by RFQ

Stainless Steel & Aluminum TIG Welding

GTAW (TIG) welding for thin gauge materials and cosmetic applications. Finish acceptance, process qualification and end-use suitability must be defined by the buyer.

Key TIG RFQ Inputs

Material | Thickness | Process source: confirmed by RFQ

  • Purge and color-acceptance requirements by drawing
  • Backside shielding plan confirmed by RFQ
  • Manual or automated feed route confirmed by RFQ

For resistance-weld design inputs such as sheet stack, electrode access, weld spacing, edge distance and verification, use the sheet metal spot-welding engineering guide. Final parameters and acceptance criteria remain project-specific.

Robotic MIG Welding
Automation Route by RFQ

Structural Welding Route Review

GMAW (MIG/MAG) or an automated route may be considered for structures, chassis and frames after joint and qualification review.

Automation RFQ Inputs

Joint access | Volume | Fixture | Inspection and qualification

  • Seam tracking only when included by the selected process source
  • Low-heat-input variants considered by RFQ
  • Spot or projection welding route evaluated against the drawing

Welding Solutions For Global Industries

The examples below are possible application contexts, not evidence of industry qualification or completed customer work.

Food Processing & Packaging

Sanitary TIG welds for conveyors, filling machines, and stainless steel tanks with electropolished finishes to customer-defined hygienic requirements.

Industrial Machinery

Heavy-duty frames, bases, and machine structures welded to the drawing and project-specific acceptance criteria. AWS D1.1 applies only when agreed in the RFQ.

Medical & Pharmaceutical

Medical or pharmaceutical work requires a buyer-approved process source, qualification, cleanliness plan and documentation scope. None is assumed by this page.

Automotive & Transportation

Automated MIG or spot welding may be reviewed for chassis components, brackets and assemblies. The OEM owns fatigue requirements and final validation.

Weld Quality Control & Documentation

The accepted RFQ defines inspection stages, acceptance criteria, qualified sources and required records. This page does not promise a fixed verification package.

Multi-Stage Weld Verification

1. Pre-Weld Preparation

Material records, joint fit-up, cleaning and WPS review are included only when required by the released project control plan.

2. In-Process Monitoring

Parameter recording, interpass-temperature control and visual checks follow the agreed weld inspection plan when quoted.

3. Post-Weld Inspection

Dimensional, finish or NDT scope such as liquid-penetrant or ultrasonic examination requires a specified method, acceptance criteria and qualified inspection source.

4. Documentation & Traceability

Material traceability, welder-qualification records and inspection reports are supplied only when defined by the accepted RFQ.
